Dr Ian Yusoff

National Faculty – Biliary Theme

Dr Yusoff is a Gastroenterologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. He trained in Western Australia then studied Clinical Epidemiology at McGill University. Following this he completed Fellowships in Therapeutic Endoscopy (McGill) and EUS (University of Montreal). He returned to Australia in 2002 to establish EUS services at SCGH which developed into one of the first centralised high volume EUS programs in the country.

He has a specific interest in medical education, curriculum development and skills training. His clinical practice is largely in pancreatology and research interests include endoscopic outcomes and technology assessment. He has published widely in these areas and maintains advisory roles on a number of national bodies including the RCPA and the Cancer Council of Australia
