A/Prof Payal Saxena is a Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist, subspecialised in Interventional Endoscopy. She completed her specialist Gastroenterology training in Sydney then travelled to the USA where she undertook a two-year Interventional Endoscopy and Research fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is appointed at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

A/Prof Saxena performs a vast range of therapeutic endoscopy with a particular interest in pancreaticobiliary (EUS, interventional EUS, ERCP) and 3rd space (POEM, ESD) procedures.

A/Prof Saxena has numerous published works and has been invited to present at a variety of national and international conferences. She is on the editorial review board for gastroenterology and endoscopy journals.
